KEEP BARNS GREEN GREEN
SAY NO TO ANOTHER HOUSING DEVELOPMENT IN BARNS GREEN
Horsham District Council has received an outline planning application for the erection of a further 63 dwellings (41% affordable units) in the village.
The proposed housing is planned for the two fields adjacent to the footpath which runs from the new Berkeley Homes development Ashmiles to the Green. Full details can be found by going to https://public-access.horsham.gov.uk/public-access/ and inputting the reference number DC/15/0029.
If you do not want to see Barns Green go the same way as Billingshurst or Southwater then do make your feelings known. Otherwise we may wake up one day and find we are living in Horsham without having ever moved!
The closing date for letters of opposition is 2nd April so there isn’t much time to register your concerns. Comments can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or submitted via the council website.
Relevant planning considerations which the council will be taken into account include the following: Local Development Policies, Government Guidance, case law and previous considerations, highway safety, traffic, parking, noise, disturbance, smells, design, appearance, materials, character, overshadowing, loss of privacy, loss of trees and effect on listed buildings.
